Foreign policy makers gather in Helsinki
Ambassadors of Finland working throughout the world will gather in Helsinki from 25 to 27 August. During their Annual Meeting, heads of Finnish diplomatic missions will discuss current themes pertaining to Finland’s foreign and security policy. Ministers Erkki Tuomioja, Lenita Toivakka and Pekka Haavisto will present issues topical in their own sectors.
A proposal for the UN’s sustainable development goals is ready
The outcome document contains many viewpoints Finland considers important, among others in the goals pertaining to water, sanitation and hygiene. The reproductive health and rights stressed by Finland were also included in the end.
