The project will be adopting an integrated approach of food security, improved Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices and WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) interventions and agriculture, through which Save the Children and partner NGO Nutri- Aid Trust aim to contribute to a reduction in the prevalence of stunting among children under five in the target communities. Specific Objective 1 (Outcome): “Strong public private partnerships and integrated multi-sectoral systems (WASH, health, agriculture) deliver services (knowledge, training) and products (inputs, tools) to increase nutrition levels of pregnant and lactating women and children in Lufwanyama, Masaiti, and Mpongwe.” Specific Objective 2 (Outcome): “Increased agricultural production, income generation, crop diversification/knowledge of crop utilisation/nutritious diets to improve nutritional status of pregnant women, mothers and children in the 3 districts.” The project is implemented together with Save the Children Zambia Country Office and local partner, Nutri Aid Trust.
