Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon Gebran Bassil visits Finland

The Foreign Minister of Lebanon Gebran Bassil will visit Finland and meet with Minister for Foreign Affairs Timo Soini. The Ministers will hold bilateral discussions on Friday, 10 June. The subjects of their discussions will include the bilateral relations between Finland and Lebanon, including Finland's support to Lebanon, regional questions in the Middle East, and other topical issues.
Foreign Minister Bassil will also meet Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Lenita Toivakka.
Lebanon is one of the biggest recipients of Finland's assistance. The majority of the support has been channelled to the promotion of stability in Lebanon by means of contributing to the UNIFIL operation.
Financial assistance is provided also to support refugees and local communities receiving refugees in Lebanon.
