Under-Secretary of State Anttonen leads a trade mission to Iran

A delegation led by Under-Secretary of State for external economic relations Matti Anttonen will visit Iran on 25–28 October. The delegation comprises eight representatives of different institutions.
The aim of the visit is to find out about the commercial and economic opportunities and to examine the situation concerning financing and transfer of funds in Iran. Another objective of the visit is to tell local Iranian authorities about Finnish export industries and institutions that support foreign trade.
The delegation will meet different Iranian public authorities and representatives of Finnish companies based in the country. In addition to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Finland Chamber of Commerce, the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK, Finpro, Tekes - the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation, the Bank of Finland, and Finnvera are represented in the delegation.
The visit will also pave the way for the forthcoming trade mission to Iran by Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Lenita Toivakka in December. Toivakka will be accompanied by a comprehensive business delegation.
