INT/Framework agreement

Description

Plan International Finland is applying for state aid from the Unit for Civil Society for the programme period 2015-2017, in total EUR 18 600 000. Plan International Finland is a partner organization of the MFA. The programme implements Child Centered Community Development in Africa, Asia and Latin America, founded on principles of Human Rights Approach. It focuses on child protection, early childhood care and development (ECCD), primary education and youth economic empowerment. Within its programme work child protection and ECCD are primary focus areas which receive a major share of funding and technical support. In addition, Plan also implements global citizenship education between the global North and South. Majority of the projects in the 2015-17 period will deepen and widen the work started in 2012-14. The number of partner countries and projects will decrease from the previous programme period, with the aim of focusing on quality and global level thematic work. As part of improved quality within the projects, particular emphasis is placed on gender equality, inclusion of the most marginalized and community resilience (i.e., ability to withstand and bounce back from disasters). In addition to the ongoing projects we will support the testing and piloting of new, innovative ideas, as well as the modelling and scaling up of existing innovations.
