EEP Indonesia —Second call for proposals
Energy and Environment Partnership with Indonesia (EEP Indonesia) programme, financed by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland (MFA) and implemented in cooperation with the Directorate General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia, provides funding for renewable energy related projects in the Provinces of Central Kalimantan and Riau.
NGOs, companies, public and private initiatives, universities, research institutions and consulting companies are all eligible to apply for EEP's project financing. Public-private partnerships, and to enhance technology transfer, cooperation between the donor country (Finland) organizations and local project developers are encouraged, but not compulsory.
Call for proposals
The second call for proposals, focusing on biomass based renewable energy, is launched now and the eligible project developers are requested to prepare their tentative Project Proposals (Project Profiles) and submit them to the EEP Indonesia National Coordination Unit by 30 April 2012 at the latest.
Invitation to the workshops
To share information about the EEP financing facility and procedures related to the call for proposals and to discuss the programme baselines studies on i) regulatory, institutional and financial barriers of renewable energy and ii) potential for renewable energy production and integration of carbon market benefits with the implementation of renewable energy projects, EEP Indonesia shall facilitate the second call for proposals launching seminars, integrated with training on formulation of the EEP project proposals, in Pekanbaru in Riau province on 22 – 23 February, Palangka Raya in Central Kalimantan on 28 – 29 February and in Jakarta on 7 March 2012.
