Austrian Foreign Minister to visit Finland

Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger of Austria will visit Finland on 27–28 April at the invitation of Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb.
In addition to bilateral relations between Finland and Austria, the foreign ministers will discuss topical EU affairs, such as the external relations administration and enlargement of the EU. The situation in the Western Balkans, the Middle East Russia and Afghanistan, among others, will also be discussed at the meeting.
During his visit Foreign Minister Spindelegger will meet with President of the Republic Tarja Halonen at the Mäntyniemi official residence. The Austrian foreign minister will also meet with Minister of Education Henna Virkkunen and, at his request, he will go to a Finnish comprehensive school.
Realization of the trip depends on developments concerning flight restrictions.
